Due to the current situation in Kosovo, Britain has transferred command of the 1st Battalion of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, a reserve force for NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR).
The Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Great Britain Parliament, Alicia Kearns, has welcomed the decision, saying that it is a very important move, so that she can provide support if needed.
"Important move towards prevention in the Balkans. Grant Shapps, the new Secretary of Defense in Great Britain confirms the deployment of the entire 1st Battalion of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment to Kosovo under the command of NATO/KFOR. Impunity breeds contempt for the rule of law and order: restrain, protect and hold accountable ," Kearns said in a post on the X social network.
The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, also known as the Tigers, is a flexible and fighting regiment.
As an infantry regiment, it is trained in dismounted close combat or combat on foot (1 PWRR), specialist infantry trained to operate in small teams around the world (2 PWRR) and we are at the forefront of the Army Reserve equipped with many of the latest equipment (3 and 4 PWRR).
