
The Council of the EU has extended the mandate of the European emissary for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak.
The news was officially announced today by the Council of the EU through an announcement on their official website.
" Miroslav Lajcak, the EU's special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and other regional issues of the Western Balkans, has had his mandate extended until January 31, 2025 ," the decision states.
His initial appointment was made on 2 April 2020. Earlier, Lajcak was nominated by the outgoing European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell, for the European Union ambassador to Switzerland.
