The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has announced that he will resign from his position in the party's Assembly. The decision comes after a meeting with the party's deputy leaders to discuss the results of the December 28 elections.
In a press conference, Abdixhiku said that in consultation with the party bodies, it was decided to convene the LDK presidency and then the party assembly.
He emphasized that he has a moral and political obligation to take responsibility and further organize the political structures of the LDK.
"I have a moral and political obligation to take responsibility and further develop the political organization of the LDK, by offering my resignation through the LDK Assembly," said Abdixhiku.
This announcement comes after election results that were not in line with the party's expectations, paving the way for changes in the leadership and organization of the LDK.
