The General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, has announced that in recent days there have been drone flights in Kosovo's airspace, suspected of coming from Serbia.
Hoxha also said that they are in coordination with KFOR, which is responsible for Kosovo's airspace.
"Over the last few days we have had drone flights that we suspect are coming from the territory of Serbia, in the northern part of Kosovo. The police are in contact with KFOR and we are monitoring what can be done. It is dangerous for the border area but not for our citizens. We are protecting them. While the airspace is the responsibility of KFOR, we have notified KFOR and our partners. KFOR is their responsibility and they are working in this direction," the Police Director said on Friday.
KFOR has not responded to questions regarding the matter in question. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, announced that there was a violation of airspace by drones suspected of coming from Serbia.
