Security expert, Doctor of Sciences Gurakuç Kuçi raises the alarm that the situation in Kosovo will not be calm and that riots will start very soon.
During a research published in the institute for studies of hybrid war, Octopus, he said that it is expected that Serbia will engage with Russia to tense the situation in Kosovo before May 27.
The expert highlights the fact that the current rhetoric of the Serbian president, Aleksandër Vucic, against Kosovo is the same as that before Putin's war against Ukraine, claiming a endangerment of the existence of minorities. Kuçi writes about the influence of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the region, while mentioning with concern the Great Easter Assembly where politics, Serbian academics and Serbian Orthodox religious representatives from Serbia, Republika Srpska, Montenegro and Kosovo will gather on May 5-6 , which also coincides with the date of the Slavic military saint.
"Serbia and Russia after the advancement of Kosovo to NATO and CoE may no longer have reason to wait and this gives Russia a reason to intensify the war. Kosovo's progress shows that there will be an intensification of clashes at the global and regional level. The identical Vučić-Putin rhetoric and the engagement of the Serbian Orthodox Church on a holy date shows engagement in new enterprises", the Octopus research concludes.
He further writes that "Russia and BRICS are interested in maintaining the current state of wars and expanding them, but in no way a ceasefire".
