Today, during the Serb protest in the municipality of Leopsavic, the crew of a Kosovar television was attacked. The Serbs in the north of Kosovo raped the journalist and the cameraman, while the latter is seen falling to the ground, breaking the camera.
Regarding this event, there have been many reactions from Kosovo and Albania and from the international community who have condemned the case.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, condemned the act and said that physical attacks against those reporting from the field are unacceptable and should be condemned by all parties.
" Another journalist was brutally attacked while covering the developments in the north of Kosovo today by masked persons. Physical attacks against those who report from the field are absolutely unacceptable and must be condemned by all parties who are otherwise vocal about the situation ," Kurti wrote on Twitter.
There was also a reaction from the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, which called the violence against the media as terrible and unacceptable.
" For the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, these attacks are terrible and unacceptable. This is the third attack within a short period only during today, caused by masked Serbian protesters, in the presence of the security bodies ", it says at the end of the reaction.
There was also a reaction from the Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, who strongly condemned this attack, which he sees as a continuation of the orchestration of criminal gangs from Belgrade, to destabilize Kosovo.
The Speaker of the Parliament asked the internationals to reduce the pressure on Serbia, which, according to him, is the cause of the tensions.
" Kosovo will not tolerate such provocations, but neither should the international factor pass with impunity such interferences by Serbia in the stability and sovereignty of Kosovo ", he writes, among other things.
