According to the pro-Western Serbian portal, "Nova.rs", the cancellation of director Petar Petkovic's press conference on September 24 was unpleasant. Although it was warned that the director of the Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic, would speak about the armed conflict in Kosovo on Sunday at 2 p.m., as is known, this did not happen.
The official press release stated that the conference has been canceled and that the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will speak in the afternoon.
As Nova learns from a source close to the authorities, Vucic has asked Petkovic not to speak. According to the assertions of her interlocutor, Vučič ordered Petković not to talk about that topic without his knowledge, making it clear that "he has nothing to say".
Vucic was angry with Petkovic because he did not consult with him before scheduling the press conference. Petkovic made that call himself, even though he is the director of the Office and it was logical to address the media. When Vucic saw that Petkovic was going to speak, he got very upset and asked to cancel the conference ," a source from Nova near SNS claims.
According to her, Vucic angrily asked Petkovic "what do you mean when you don't have any information".
Vucic requested that Petkovic not speak because he has nothing to say to the citizens. The situation was dramatic, Vučić himself spoke about this at the conference and for this reason Petković was asked to cancel the conference. "Vučić was even rude for a moment and shouted at Petković: "What are you going to tell them... Who gave you permission?", Nova's source claims.
