Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that the European Union is in favor of sentencing the 4 former KLA leaders, as according to him, they financed the construction of the Special Court, where they invested 400 million euros.
Spahiu said that if the former KLA leaders are found innocent, it will seem as if the 'Special' has worked in vain. He also added that there is a kind of jealousy in The Hague for Balkan leaders who are pro-American, due to the recent clashes between the US and the EU.
" If it were to lead to the innocence of the 4 former KLA leaders, according to the EU, it would be a shame that this Court and this Prosecutor's Office have functioned in vain. There is a kind of jealousy, there is a kind of attempt to perhaps as a kind of reaction that American diplomats have made to the KLA leaders. Looking at the geopolitical situation of the clashes between Europeans and Americans, I think there is a kind of jealousy and Balkan leaders who are pro-American are not welcomed. And it is known that the arrested Albanian leaders, KLA leaders, are pro-American and mainly pro-Trump.
"And I see little chance of moving towards innocence. I think that those who have invested millions of euros (400 million euros) in the construction and functioning of this prosecution and court, will also crown the work and investment of this prosecution and court, unfortunately with the conviction by the court of the KLA leaders ," Spahiu said, among other things, on the 'Repolitix' show on Report TV.
