American General Wesley Clark testified in defense of Hashim Thaçi in The Hague today.
He said that there is no evidence or proof that the Kosovo Liberation Army carried out ethnic cleansing of Serbs.
" I have indications that prove otherwise ," Clark said in response to the prosecutor's question regarding the allegations made in a document.
Clark also claimed that he could not confirm whether any government body or entity of any NATO member country had provided weapons to the KLA after the signing of the Rambouillet agreement in early 1999.
At the conclusion of his testimony, the retired American general reiterated before the Special Court that Hashim Thaçi is not responsible for the acts of violence or revenge that occurred in Kosovo and that the KLA fighters were not terrorists as they fought for their freedom.
