In the early hours of Christmas morning, the Kosovo Police were notified that a vehicle was on fire.
It was 01:20 a.m., while the burned vehicle was found at the scene along with a victim.
In the preliminary announcement, the Police wrote that it was about a 'suspicious death'.
"The burned car is a Golf 2, while the victim is suspected to be Sh. K. Born in 1968 from the village of Jeshkovë, Prizren. All the units responsible for the case, as well as the guardian prosecutor, have arrived at the scene", the announcement states.
The first suspicions were related to a suicide, however, by order of the prosecutor of the case, it is called "Suspicious death" and the remains from the lifeless body are sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina for examination.
While a few hours have passed, the identity of the victim has been announced in the media, and it is known that it is the citizen Shefqet Krasniqi.
An official of the Initiative, Zafir Berisha, wrote about his loss, who says that Krasniqi was a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
"Rest in peace Shefqet Krasniqi. The news of your death, good man, is shocking. You were an example in this world, as a parent, as a friend, as a KLA fighter in the service of Kosovo, you do not deserve to leave this world like this and at this time!", wrote Berisha .
