The Minister of Environment and Infrastructure of Kosovo, Liburn Aliu, has reacted after the diversion of a flight from Hamburg to Pristina, which ended up at Belgrade's "Nikola Tesla" airport due to technical problems.
Flight number EE5704, which departed from Hamburg at 14:30 with 155 passengers on board, was forced to land in Belgrade for security reasons.
"Today, the scheduled flight from Hamburg - Germany to Pristina by the air operator 'Eurowings' (Flt. No. EË5704), departed from Hamburg at 14:30, with 155 passengers on board, for technical reasons was forced to land at the 'Nikola Tesla' airport in Belgrade", announced Aliu.
According to him, after the incident, the air operator took immediate measures by organizing an alternative plane for transporting passengers.
The second plane, flight number EË6005, picked up the remaining passengers in Belgrade and flew to Köln, Germany.
Ali has announced that further details about the incident are expected to be published by the airline in the coming days.
