The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, confirms that Albulena Haxhiu's candidacy for Speaker of the Parliament is final, emphasizing the readiness for compromises in the formation of the new government.
In a clear statement, Kurti announced that Albulena Haxhiu's candidacy for the position of Speaker of the Parliament will not be withdrawn. He emphasized that this is a decision taken by the Vetëvendosje Movement and is not subject to negotiations.
"Let's not play this negative game. We must respect each other's proposals and have a leadership [of the Assembly] based on merit," Kurti said in an interview with Radio Television of Kosovo.
Despite this, Kurti expressed his willingness to compromise in terms of forming a government, emphasizing that he is open to cooperation with other parties, but without giving up on Haxhiu's candidacy for Speaker of the Assembly.
