The Basic Court in Mitrovica, General Department, has assigned the security measure of arrest and imprisonment, with a term of 1 month, to a person who is suspected of threatening Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
It is about Milan Radivojevic, against whom the willing judge Marigona Lajqi issued a decision on the appointment of the measure of detention.
Radivojevic will remain in detention for one month, due to the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "intimidation".
The Prosecution's file says that the same person is suspected of having threatened Prime Minister Albin Kurti through the social network "Instagram", making a threatening post in his direction.
Reasoning of the Court
Judge Lajqi in this criminal case made this decision, taking into account the fact that the responsibility for the weapon found in the defendant's house was taken by his father Milijan Radivojevic, for whom a separate procedure is underway.
However, the very fact that the same person lived in such an environment, where he had easy access to weapons, for the court represents the existence of a risk that he may repeat the crime, or complete the crime that he has threatened to commit, and that the consequences will were extremely large, says the court decision which Sinjali has seen.
The other circumstance that the court took into account when setting the preventive measure is the fact that Radivojevic is a person known to the Police, since on 21.10.2024, he was stopped by police officials, writing graffiti with nationalist content, in the vicinity of the Municipality of Zvecan, for which he was fined in the amount of 300 euros, for Vandalism.
"The very fact that even after the imposition of the fine, for which he was warned that his actions are prohibited and sanctioned by law, he now commits such a criminal offense against a high state official, is a sufficient reason for the court to create the belief that any other measure would not avoid the risk of recurrence." - the decision states, among other things.
