A few hours before the murder, Naim Murseli had met with Kushtrim Kokalla, his uncle's son, telling him that "this work must be done today". The meeting took place at 9:30 in the morning, according to the Prosecutor's Office file.

Even Kushtrim Kokalla and his lawyer Ndec Dodaj called the conditions for assigning detention "generalized" and "unsubstantiated".
Naim Murseli is charged with aggravated murder in complicity, Granit Plava with aggravated murder and possession of weapons without a permit, while Kushtrim Kokalla is charged with an agreement to commit the criminal offense of aggravated murder.

The relatives of Liridona Ademajt believe that the benefit from her life insurance in Sweden could be the motive for the murder.
" I just know that things have been safe there in Sweden. And this has great insurance, so if you find something, you get a lot of money. And I already suspect that he strangled him to get that insurance. Nothing else ," said Hajdar Ademaj, her father.
Leonard Ademaj, Liridona's brother, thinks the same way.
" What I can say, and what comes to mind is that Liridona had insurance in Sweden. Insurance in Sweden pays out staggering amounts if an accident happens to one or the other parent. It is possible, since he was able to remain penniless, to have debts and to deprive our sister of her life, to take the insurance money ," he said.
