New legislature with 101 old MPs

After the vote counting by the Central Election Commission in Kosovo has been completed, the names of those who will represent the citizens in the Assembly have also been clarified. 101 deputies from the previous legislature in Kosovo will also be in the next one, which is the 11th. In this composition, there will be 9 deputies who will sit in the hall for the first time, and 10 others have been deputies before, but were not in the last legislature.

Exactly 101 deputies from the previous legislature, who worked for only two and a half months, will also be in the next one.

Based on the results, after all ballots were counted by the Central Election Commission (CEC), 48 deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement from the previous composition have won mandates to be legislators again.

19 deputies from the Democratic Party (PDK) regained their mandates, 15 from the Democratic League (LDK) and 6 from the Alliance.

This legislature will include 9 MPs for the first time, 5 of them from the Vetëvendosje Movement and 4 from the Serbian List.

From LVV in the Assembly for the first time will be Osman Musliu, Arton Konushevci, Armend Baloku, Krenare Çerkini and Valon Peci.

10 MPs from previous legislatures, but who were not in the last one, will return to the Assembly. Jakup Nura, Altin Krasniqi and Rrustem Mustafa have returned from the PDK.

Through the LDK, former president Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu will once again have a seat in the Assembly, followed by Arben Gashi and Paris Guri, while through the Alliance, Ardian Gjini and Teuta Haxhiu. From the minorities, Fikrim Damka and Albert Kinolli will also return to the Assembly.

According to the results, the Vetëvendosje Movement secured 53 seats, PDK 22, LDK 18 and the Alliance 7 seats. From these results, 31 deputies from the previous legislature who also competed in the June 7 elections have remained outside the Assembly.

The following members of the LVV were left out: Rozeta Hajdari, Arjeta Rexhepi, Arsim Demi, Avdullah Klinaku, Bajram Mavriqi, Bylbyl Sokoli, Egzon Azemi, Ejup Ahmeti, Fahrush Rexhepi, Fatos Geci, Fitim Haziri, Ilir Qeriqi, Luan Aliu, Mimoza Shala, Mytaher Haskuka, Naim Bardiqi and Shqipe Isufi.

But, if LVV forms the government alone, then most of them are expected to return to the Assembly after the seats are vacated by the MPs who will elect ministers. From the PDK, Arbnore Saliuhu, Nait Hasani and Xhavit Haliti remain outside the Assembly.

From the LDK, only former MP Adelina Thaçi-Meta failed to secure a seat, although this party increased the number of mandates by 3.

Bekë Berisha has been left out of the Alliance. But, if the leader of this party, Ardian Gjini, and MP Daut Haradinaj give up their positions as MPs, which they have announced, then there will be seats for Berisha and Burim Ramadani as well. There will be no 9 MPs from the Serbian community and the multiethnic group.

From the counting of all votes, the leader of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, is the most voted MP with over 324 thousand votes. Following him are Gauk Konjufca with over 264 thousand votes and Albulena Haxhiu with 165 thousand votes.
