Immediately after these statements, we saw physical attacks with strong tools, but also bullets, as a senior officer of the KFOR troops in Zveçan declared in front of Rakić.
The American officer clearly stated that they will not forget this attack. But at the political level, until today, there has been no statement from Washington about these brutal attacks on KFOR soldiers.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Chris Hill, who is expected to take the role of Gabriel Escobar in the Balkans, has blamed only the government of Pristina in a statement from Belgrade.
For a long time there has been a clear beogradomania of the official Washington regarding the assessments and developments that are happening with Kosovo.
In this particular case, the entire situation of tension had the impetus for the mass boycott of all northern Serbs by the institutions of Kosovo. Aleksandër Vucic even publicly decorated the Serbian policemen who abandoned the uniform of the Kosovo Police Service. It was the northern Serbs who refused to participate in the local elections, which are a constitutional and legal obligation.

But as is known, Vucic's vertical structures in the north of Kosovo launched a week-long attack on the police forces of Kosovo and KFOR, with a clear objective that has turned into a non-negotiable demand even from Belgrade. Request that emphasizes that the Kosovo police must finally leave the four northern municipalities.
In such a situation, when all the Serbs have left the institutions, then the militias financed and trained by the Serbian BIA automatically take power and control. Specifically, those hooligans who violated the soldiers of the KFOR troops.
What is the US plan to get out of this situation? KFOR, even though it is present, it cannot perform any competence in the territory, except to stay between the parties to maintain security. KFOR cannot perform police, customs, tax or administrative powers.
Albin Kurti, as is known, has a plan not to leave the north without the state structures of Kosovo, and the removal of the police and other structures, it seems that there is no alternative answer.
At this stage, the question naturally arises as to what is being played in the north, an area which was left as an annex under the administration of Belgrade since 1999. Are the premises being created for an autonomy of the four municipalities, which, having a chaotic territory , can make the implementation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities a fact. which has not yet shaped the content of its legal framework. The likelihood is that the Serbian plan is to create a factual situation in the territory, to then impose negotiations between Pristina and Belgrade.
Therefore, it is imperative today that the US and the EU clearly express how they want the north to function and to achieve its normalization. Albin Kurti has a clear and non-negotiable idea that he will not allow a power vacuum there, while the Serbs demand the departure of the Kosovo police as a non-negotiable demand. In this specific case, it is up to the US and the EU to propose and push for a compromise solution that both parties can accept. In the first place, Serbia, which apparently does not require any presence of the Republic of Kosovo in the north. It is up to the US in the first place to return urgently and seriously from Serbia, asking Belgrade to withdraw from non-negotiable demands. And when this happens, then the implementation of the compromise will not just be monitored but implemented by the US and the EU. Taking even an administration like the 1999 model of the north of Kosovo, but in no case allow that area to fall into the hands of Vucic's militias. /pamphlet
