
Professor Moshe Landsman, a name that has left a mark on the University of Pristina, has passed away at the age of 75. The Israeli professor is co-founder of the Department of Psychology at "Hasan Prishtina" University.
The death was announced by the Kosovo Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims. According to her, Professor Landsman was a model of humanity and philanthropy.
"With deep sadness we received the news about the loss of Prof. Moshe Landsman. A figure who surpassed the role of professor and pedagogue, thus becoming an emblematic figure who supported, supported and encouraged others.
A few days ago he was among us, in the KKRMT premises, accompanied by his calmness and depth. He is leaving, leaving deep traces, not only in the field of knowledge and learning, but also in the push and encouragement of new talents towards proven professional successes, at the social and state level for Kosovo", the announcement states.
Landsman has left his mark as a professor and psychologist in Israel since the 1970s, while his connection with Kosovo dates back to the post-war period when he first helped survivors of sexual violence during the war.
In the Department of Psychology of the University of Pristina, the first post-war in Kosovo, Landsman has been a professor for many years and has left his mark on the graduation of many generations of psychology students.

A year ago, he was awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Kosovo with an honorary award for his outstanding contribution to the development of education in Kosovo, with special emphasis in the field of psychology.
According to the Kosovar Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Victims, Prof. Moshe was a living model of humanity, humility and philanthropy. "Death often seems treacherous and appears suddenly, but in essence it is chaste and increases the love of those who remain alive. We will continue to recognize his contribution and remember him fondly. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends and associates," it added.
