The two minors who are suspected of the murder of 18-year-old LF, the case was initially qualified as "Attempted murder", at the hearing held on January 15, 2024 at the Basic Court in Pristina, opposed the request for the appointment of detention and gave the versions of them for the event.
The request of the Prosecutor's Office for the appointment of detention against two minors was made on January 15, 2024, on the same day the Court made a decision on the appointment of this measure, when the deceased was now being treated at the KKUK, who died on January 20. causing that after this circumstance, the criminal offense is reclassified from "Attempted murder" to "Murder".
In the Court's decision, provided by the "Oath of Justice", it is said that the first minor objected to the request for detention, with the claim that initially on the critical day he had opened the car window and asked the victim that why did you insult me yesterday', from the other side of the road where LF had been
After the question, according to the first minor, LF, he asked him to stop the car and clarify, according to him, when the victim approached, he inflicted a knife wound on his leg.
" When I approached, he hit the tire of the car with a knife and opened the door of the car and attacked me with a knife where he injured my leg, I also tore my sweatshirt because he tried to attack me several times. The second suspect was with me and he got out of the car, where L grabbed his hand. And we ran away for 10 meters and then we ran away with the car and the punctured tire for 10 meters", stated the first suspect .
After that altercation, the second suspect reportedly stated that he saw a stick and chased LF in his car
"We got in the car and followed L, and when he saw us he had a knife in his hand, at that moment I lost my temper, I tried to stop the car but the car did not touch L., and I shot him with a stick hand where he had the knife and I told him to drop the knife but he didn't drop it and held it in my direction, then I hit him with a stick on the back of the head, probably on the right side" , the suspect is said to have stated further first.
According to him, he did not see when the other suspect (the second suspect) got out of the car, nor if he also hit LF
However, he admitted that the dispute had started because, according to him, the now deceased had "taken his order at the barber and insulted him".
" I object to the request for the detention measure, I surrendered to the police myself, I went to the hospital, I told the police I surrendered myself, I didn't try to run away, the dispute had happened the day before because L. had taken my turn at the barber and cursed me ", the first suspect declared before the court.
Even the defender of the first suspect, lawyer Veton Rrecaj, opposed the prosecution's request for the imposition of a detention measure, on the grounds that all the legal prerequisites for the imposition of this measure are missing.
