
The Kosovo Police has carried out an action against drugs in a residence in the "Tre Rrokaqiejt" neighborhood in North Mitrovica.
The regional deputy director for the north, Veton Elshani, said that weapons were also confiscated during the action.
"The apartment was used by SM [a citizen of Kosovo of Serbian nationality], 60 graphic cards, S9 anti-miner machines, 13 ventilators, electric pots used for growing cannabis plants, an electric lamp for a laboratory, 51 cartridges, were found and confiscated. eight modified shock bombs," Elshani told Radio Free Europe.
The REL team has not been allowed to approach the building where the action is being carried out. REL journalists were told that it is a private residence. This is not the first time that the Kosovo Police has carried out actions against drugs, or against cryptocurrencies in the north of Kosovo, inhabited by a majority of Serbs.
In February of this year, the police discovered three drug laboratories in North Mitrovica. Also, in May of last year, the police destroyed two drug laboratories in Izvor, near the border with Serbia, where large quantities of narcotic plants, of the marijuana type, were also found. In April of that year, a drug laboratory in Zveçan was destroyed and four Serbs were arrested.
