The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti said that he will not meet the Prime Minister Edi Rama, who will be in Kosovo tomorrow, the latter does not agree to hold the meeting between the two governments.
Kurti said that he has asked Rama to hold a joint meeting of the two governments on July 6, when Rama will be in Pristina as part of his tour to the Balkans.
In a press conference with journalists, Kurti made it known that he considers the joint meeting to sign the half-finished agreement after the cancellation of the meeting to be important, and not other meetings.
" I am in direct contact with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. I know that he will come on a visit to Pristina as part of the Balkan tour. I kindly asked him that since he is coming, we should also hold the meeting of the 2 governments, which was unreasonably canceled even though it was scheduled for June 14 in Gjakovë. 13 agreements would have to be signed, some of which have been left in the drawer.
In order for these agreements to be signed, I have proposed to Prime Minister Rama that since this week is coming, let's hold a joint meeting of our two governments to sign the agreed agreements that are in the drawer and implement them within an hour. and before.
The Berlin Process is very important and there is no leader in the Balkans like the Prime Minister of Kosovo who has supported the Berlin Process.
If Prime Minister Edi Rama insists on canceling the meeting of the two governments, I stand by the position I gave him that for the meeting between the two of us we have direct contact, we meet very often.
The Kosovo-Albania relationship does not languish, but also democracy, peace and security in the Balkans, why does the Prime Minister of Kosovo not meet with the Prime Minister of Albania. But because the meetings of our two governments have been canceled without reason. I consider it reasonable to have a joint meeting of the two governments, but not other meetings" , said Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
