Radio Television of Kosovo has been fined by the Agency for Information and Privacy because Adi Krasta has hidden the budget dedicated to the organization of this year's edition of the Song Festival.
AIP has sent a letter of information to the deputy general director of RTK, Adi Krasta, where the public broadcaster can be fined from 3,000 to 10,000 euros.
This will be determined after RTK responds.
The media lawyer, Flutura Kusari, complained to the AIP about the lack of transparency on the part of RTK about the festival's budget, expressing doubts about its management.
"As a result of non-implementation of AIP decision A-873/2024 by RTK, the Agency for Information and Privacy, implementing paragraph 3 of article 32 of Law No. 06/L-081 on Access to Public Documents , notifies the main administrative officer of the public institution, which has not implemented this decision, to use the period of seven (7) additional days to improve the violation identified in the aforementioned decision, before imposing an administrative fine, according to paragraph 1 of the article 32 of Law No. 06/L-081 on Access to Public Documents", says the announcement of the AIP on the imposition of the fine.
The AIP concluded that the RTK as a public institution "did not offer access (through answers) to the complaining party, in implementation of the above-mentioned binding decision, but chose to offer explanatory explanations, which, the supervisory authority of found to be unfounded".
