The Minister of Defense of Serbia, Miloš Vučević has openly threatened Kosovo during a press conference this Monday, talking about a possible entry of Serbian troops into Kosovo.
Vučević has stated that if the Armed Forces of Serbia receive orders from President Vučić for their units to enter Kosovo, they will do so in an efficient and professional manner.
But he added that if such a thing happens, permission will be obtained in advance from the KFOR command.
He also requested a greater presence of KFOR in the territory of Kosovo, especially in areas with a Serbian majority.
Vucevic added that the cooperation of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army with the KFOR mission is good and works in accordance with Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement from Kumanova.
"Cooperation is based on mutual respect and is developing correctly. The Republic of Serbia believes that KFOR should have as significant a role as possible in Kosovo, especially in the areas where the Serbian population lives. We have nothing against the presence of KFOR in our communities, nor the Serbs living in the southern province", he said.
The Minister emphasized that the Serbian Army considers it necessary to increase the presence of units of this mission, first of all in the areas where Serbs live, as this would improve the security of the Serbian people in Kosovo.
Focusing on the increase in the presence of the Serbian Armed Forces on the border with Kosovo, Vučević described the news as untrue.
While the Chief of the General Staff, General Milan Mojsilovic, in the press conference together with the Minister of Defense, rejected the evidence presented by Kosovo and did not hesitate to distance himself from the actions of Milan Radojčič, the organizer of the armed attack of September 24.
However, he confirmed that the army is training some Kosovo Serbs as reservists.
"Milan Radoicic did not participate in the training in Pasuljanski meadows, did not shoot any bullets or grenades and did not participate in any activity. On several occasions in the past years he was invited to training, but he did not respond to them, and what Radoicic does on his private property is none of the business of the Serbian army. I firmly deny all the accusations from Pristina", said Mojsilovic.
In relation to the armed attack in Banjska, Zveçan, the director of the so-called office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, also spoke, claiming that one of the attackers was killed by the Kosovo police after being wounded.
He accused the Kosovo authorities of falsifying evidence and asked KFOR-I and EULEX-I to be objective and neutral regarding the September 24 attack.
