Shortly before midnight, a bomb was thrown in the northern part of Mitrovica.
An explosive device, most likely a hand grenade, was thrown near one of the bars, at the intersection near the Technical Faculty.
The Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the North region, Veton Elshani, has confirmed that two people were injured in the North of the country as a result of an explosion that occurred shortly before midnight.
Elshani has indicated that it is suspected that the explosive device is a hand grenade and that the incident took place at the Bisevac Hotel.
One of the injured persons is in a more serious condition.
"Around 11:50 p.m., a hand grenade is suspected to have exploded at the Bisevac Hotel, Knjaz Millosh street in North Mitrovica, where as a result of the explosion, around 4-5 cars were damaged and two people were injured. One has more serious injuries and the police is in the hospital", Elshani told the media in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, members of EULEX and KFOR also arrived at the scene.

The police immediately started investigating the case.
The reasons why this explosion happened are still unknown.
