He was accused of distributing forged documents, Hysni Gucatin is released from The Hague

Hysni Gucati has been released by the Special Court of The Hague. The acting chairman of the OVL-KLA, Faton Klinaku, announces that the former head of the organization of KLA veterans, Hysni Gucati, has been released from prison by the decision of the Special Court of Kosovo.

Gucat was sentenced by the Special Court to four and a half years in prison on May 18, 2022. Former OVL-KLA leader Nasim Haradinaj was also sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Gucati and Haradinaj were found guilty of obstructing official persons in the performance of their official duties, threats during the criminal procedure and violation of the secrecy of the procedure. They were found not guilty of the crime of revenge. 

They were arrested in September 2020, after suspicions that they distributed classified documents of the Specialized Chambers, also known as the Special Court, in some media conferences at the OVL-UÇK headquarters in Pristina.
