The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, in a meeting today.
In a media conference, Von der Leyen explained what the "de facto" recognition of Kosovo means, which he mentioned several times in the past days as a condition for Serbia.
"It is about the implementation of the Ohrid agreement. It foresees several steps, such as the recognition of documents, institutions, and on the other hand, it goes with the establishment of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority, which Kosovo must implement. This will pave the way for the normalization of relations", she was quoted as saying.
And regarding relations with Kosovo, the Serbian media emphasize that Vucic was focused on the issue of the Association of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo.
According to him, "Prishtina for the past 11 years had only one obligation which was the establishment of KAS and did not establish it".
"We had letters, four documents related to KAS, none of them were implemented", added Vucic.
