Murder of Liridona Ademaj, court hearing scheduled for Naim Murseli and other

The Basic Court of Pristina has scheduled the trial session against Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla for June 4, in connection with the murder case of Liridona Ademaj.

The news was confirmed by the Court's spokesperson, Mirlinda Gashi. She said that the session will start at 1:10 p.m.

"The court hearing is scheduled for June 4, 2025," Gashi stated.

In the initial hearing held on January 31 of this year, Liridona's husband, Naim Murseli, pleaded not guilty, Granit Plava defended himself silently, while Kushtrim Kokalla did not declare his guilt at all.

The only one who pleaded guilty was Tom Dodaj, who was accused of selling the weapon used in the murder. According to the indictment, he sold the weapon to Naim Murseli and Granit Plava for 280 euros. For this offense, the Court sentenced Dodaj to five years in prison and a fine of five thousand euros.

Liridona Ademaj was killed on the evening of November 29, 2023, at the entrance to the village of Bërrnicë, Pristina, while returning to her home with her husband and two children. She was shot in the neck.

The case was initially described as "Robbery with consequences of murder", based on the account of Naim Murseli.

The 24-hour Police report, a day after the incident, stated that the victim was in a car with her husband and two children when an unknown armed person stopped them and demanded all their valuables and then shot them. Later, on the day Liridona was buried, the Police arrested Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, as suspects for involvement in the case. The indictment against them was confirmed on April 7.
