Gani Bunjaku, the uncle of Afrim Bunjaku, the policeman killed in Kosovo, has requested that his son's statement, addressed to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, not be misinterpreted.

He called the deceased policeman, Afrim Bunjaku, a hero, for whom he said he was proud to have served his country. Bunjaku thanked the institutions for the care and help to their family.

"I thank the state for being interested in 'reducing our pain' and helping us in every way. I am grateful to all those who come and console us", said Bunjaku.

He requested that the statements not be misinterpreted, as he called the defense of sovereignty a matter of pride.

"I saw that the interviewee was my son, I saw that many people are misinterpreting him. Let it be based on the status he made on Facebook. The pride is to protect every inch of this country of ours that we have won with delay and to protect it with every drop of blood", said Gani Bunjaku.

His uncle also tells about the conversations he had with the deceased, Afrim Bunjaku, whom he said proudly served his country.

"I am his younger uncle. I have often had contact with him when he went and talked with him and he said that 'I feel proud that I am going there and serving my country' and he willingly went and it was actually proven that even God wanted that reward him with the title of hero of the Nation and he will be a hero of the Nation", said Bunjaku.
