Politician Fatmir Limaj spoke on the show "Opinion" about the event that happened on Sunday in the north of Kosovo.
Limaj stated that the armed group is a paramilitary unit that had come to wage war in Kosovo.
According to him, the action of the criminal group that killed a Kosovo police officer has a political background and is assisted by Serbia.
Blendi Fevziu: You know very well the tactics of guerrilla warfare because you were the commander of the KLA and fought for 2 years without stopping inside the territory of Kosovo. Is this commando prepared in Serbia or is it just a voluntary gathering?
Fatmir Limaj: What we saw on Sunday and then their weaponry, this is seen to be a prepared military, trained, paramilitary unit. This weaponry is called heavy infantry because it has plagues, it has high calibers. It is an infantryman that requires months and years of training in professional tactics. It is called paramilitary prepared in time in Belgrade with clear, tactical and political objectives and with a precise operational plan of what they have to do.
Blendi Fevziu: What was their concrete plan according to you?
Fatmir Limaj: What happened to the police patrol is the least they wanted. The war before they came there was the war between the services.
Blendi Fevziu: Did Kosovo have concrete information about what was expected to happen?
Fatmir Limaj: Kosovo has had information for several months about training of these types in various camps around Kosovo, in Rasha, Niša and other places. There are over 200 professional people who have been prepared to take over the leadership of the units as they have planned.
Blendi Fevziu: This is a war plan or not?
Fatmir Limaj: We are dealing with a military unit that has a strong logistical background with clear political and military-tactical objectives. Arsenal shows that this unit has come to fight in Kosovo and not to leave. Such an arsenal is not brought in overnight.
