The action of the Kosovo Police for the raid in Banjska of Zveçan has ended, the deputy director of the Police in North Mitrovica, Veton Elshani, confirmed on Tuesday.
Elshani said that tomorrow after 9 o'clock it will be decided how to proceed.
"The raid action has ended. Tomorrow after 9 o'clock it will be decided how to proceed further", said Elshani.
During the raid, the Police confiscated an arsenal of weapons and various tools, which were also presented by the Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Sveçla and the Director of the Police, Gazmend Hoxha, in a press conference on Monday.
On Sunday, policeman Afrim Bunjaku was killed as a result of an armed attack in Banjska i Zveçani. In the Police action, dozens of armed attackers in Serbian uniform surrounded the village of Banjské. The police were continuously attacked by the assailants. From the action, three attackers have been confirmed killed and eight arrested so far. An arsenal of weapons was also captured, while several other attackers have already escaped and are being treated in Serbian hospitals.
