Tensions in the North, "VOA" journalist: USA fears that the Kosovo-Serbia conflict could get out of control

Voice of America reporter Keida Kostreci has stated that the biggest fear of the US after the latest attack in the north is that the Serbia-Kosovo conflict could get out of control.

In an interview for the show 'Now' in Euronews Albania, this is why the diplomacy effort is asking both sides to resume dialogue as the only way to avoid another possible clash.

" Washington is sufficiently worried that this situation could get out of control, this is said in a diplomatic language by senior officials and more openly by experts. This fear that inciting rhetoric could lead to an escalation of the situation has led them to demand that the parties urgently return to dialogue. There is a fear that the situation could become worse, but also the hope that both sides can return to talks" , said the journalist.
