The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Ferizaj has given new details about the serious murder that happened last night in the parking lot of a wedding hall in Ferizaj.
The prosecution announces that it has requested from the Basic Court in Ferizaj, the determination of the measure of detention within a period of 30 days against the suspects FR, and JM, for the case of serious murder in the village of Bibaj, municipality of Ferizaj.
Kosovo media report that the victim is the uncle of the husband of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
The suspected author of this event is police official Festim Ramadani, who shot the 89-year-old several times.
" There is a well-founded suspicion that on 16.08.2024, around 7:26 p.m., at the entrance to the parking lot of the "Fan Palace" wedding hall, on "Engjëll Zefi" street, in the village of Bibaj, Ferizaj municipality, the defendant FR, for motives low with the intention of depriving him of his life, as soon as they noticed the deceased entering the aforementioned parking lot, the defendants each with their own vehicles stopped at the scene, where the defendant JM, holding a strong tool in his hand, rushed into direction of the deceased, while the defendant FR, with the official automatic weapon, shot several times at the deceased SS, and in that case also put other people who were together with the deceased in danger, as a result the deceased died at the place of event ", it is stated in the notification of the Prosecutor's Office.
According to the prosecution, the co-accused defendants have committed the criminal offense "Aggravated Murder" from Article 173 paragraph 1 under paragraph 1.5 and 1.8 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The media in Kosovo report that the cause of the elderly man's murder was the abuse of the author's two sisters, when they were only 10 years old.
The victim was the husband of their aunt and had sheltered the Ramadani family during the war in Kosovo, when sexual abuse also occurred, but the prosecutor does not mention it.
