The terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police in the north of the country has also alarmed Ambassador William Walker. The former head of the OSCE Verification Mission in Kosovo says that this serious event requires a full investigation to understand who those heavily armed persons were and who authorized them. Walker demands that an investigation be made against KFOR peacekeeping troops as well.
"This serious case requires a full investigation. We need to understand who those people are, who authorized them and where they got all that weaponry. When the parties are negotiating for the normalization of relations then how is it possible for this to happen? Vucic has a lot of questions to answer now. A serious investigation should also be done against KFOR because there are rumors that they negotiated and allowed the attackers to leave, when in fact they should be arrested and brought to justice", he told Tevë1 .
The retired American diplomat says that Serbia should extradite the attackers to Kosovo, and thus start a judicial process against them. After what happened on September 24, Walker expects reflection from the international community regarding the establishment of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority.
"It is important now for Serbia to extradite the attackers to Kosovo and thus start a judicial process against them. Serbia should understand once and for all that North Mitrovica belongs to the Republic of Kosovo and should not interfere in the internal affairs of Kosovo. The serious event of September 24 shows once again how dangerous the formation of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority can be, where the Serbs can gain autonomy in the northern part of the country. I believe that now the international community will reflect on what happened on September 24", he said.
The vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radojçic, took responsibility for organizing the terrorist attack against the Kosovo Police in the village of Banjské in Zveçan. While the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has asked the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, that the attackers of the Kosovo Police who fled to Serbia, should be held accountable for their actions. / You1
