The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted after the closing of the voting process for the local elections.
In a post on social media, Kurti thanks the citizens of Kosovo for every vote, emphasizing that they demonstrated democratic culture.
Prime Minister Kurti then focuses on the counting process, while calling for it to be preserved as it expresses the will of the citizens.
"Today, with calm and prudence, the citizens of Kosovo once again demonstrated democratic culture by spending the day of local elections with dignity and responsibility.
I thank all citizens for their support for the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement and our candidates in the municipalities. This trust is our strength to continue with work and dedication forward.
"But now is the time for commissioners and observers, who not only count the votes, but also safeguard them and the expressed will of the citizens," Kurti said.
