Elections for heads of municipalities in Kosovo, counting of votes for members

This afternoon, the counting of votes for candidates for members of the Municipal Assemblies in Pristina and in 37 other centers began.

It is learned that in addition to counting the votes of candidates for members of the Municipal Assemblies, verification of the results from the forms that were filled out at the polling stations after the ballots were counted will also be carried out.

The 38 Municipal Counting Centers will work in two shifts, while the CEC has appointed more than 520 counting teams with over 2,000 members.

The counting of candidates' votes and the verification of the results will be carried out in full transparency and under the monitoring of observers.

In addition to organizing voting in 2,571 regular polling stations, the CEC has enabled conditional voting in 54 other polling stations, voting outside polling stations through mobile teams for 3,467 voters with special needs, and voting outside Kosovo by mail for 43,933 Kosovo citizens.

The counting of ballots from conditional voting, ballots from voting by persons with special needs, and ballots from voting outside Kosovo will take place at the Counting and Results Center, after the process at the Municipal Counting Centers is completed.

According to preliminary data so far, in 54 conditional polling stations, in 38 municipalities of the country, in general, we have 2,119 envelopes with ballots.

From the voting outside Kosovo, from the withdrawal of postal deliveries that was made from 22 mailboxes, out of a total of 23, the number of envelopes supposedly containing ballots is 33,258.

We will soon have data from the voting of people with special needs, which was carried out outside polling stations. The number of voters registered in this voting program was 3,467.
