Mariah Carey reportedly had no contact with her sister Alison in the last month of her life despite being told she was dying, according to a friend of the singer's late sister.
Dave Baker, who says he was friends with Alison for many years and helped her receive end-of-life care, spoke about Alison's final days in an interview with The Sun. Alison and Mariah's mother Patricia passed away on the same day last weekend.
"Allison was upset that her 'sister' cut off contact with her," Baker said. "She talked about it often. She wondered if Mariah or any of her relatives would come to her funeral. I have been told that a memorial service is planned for a future date, but nothing now.'
He also claimed that Carey "never tried to contact Alison, even after she was told a month ago that Alison was dying". "A phone call or, even better, a video call would mean so much to Alison," he said. "But it never happened."
Baker also criticized Carey's response to her sister's death. "And now Mariah is devastated by the loss of her mother and 'former sister,'" added the friend. "That harsh rejection hurt Alison the most."
According to Baker, "Allison was under the care of doctors at home for the last three weeks of her life" and "had a problem with her internal organs."
