61-year-old fashion influencer José Castelo Branco, who married a diamond heiress, has been arrested in Portugal.
The fashion star is accused of raping his 95-year-old wife Betty Grafstein. But the influencer has denied the accusations, saying that it is not true.
One of the reasons the couple has always been talked about is the fact that they share the same wardrobe.
According to local media, Grafstein was admitted to a hospital last month with "various problems". She asked the staff to "save" her from the mistreatment of her husband, who was arrested on May 7.
Branco has been released but is "forbidden to see" his wife. However, he continued to post on social networks asking people to "pray for his wife".
Last year, the 61-year-old told the media that strangers tell him that "he is living with her money, he can't wait for her to die." For this, he said that he experiences terrible bullying.
Betty was married to Albert Grafstein who ran the Grafstein Diamond Corp. With his brother they lived in Portugal and after her husband's death, Betty got to know Castelo Branco.
Castelo Branco identifies as male, but is often mistaken for a woman due to the clothing and makeup she wears. Another reason is the fact that they are 34 years apart.
