Albanian beauty triumphs in Finland, Sarah with Kosovar father wins Miss crown

The beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in this country was held in Espoo, Finland. Sarah Dzafce took the crown. She was praised by the jury for her appearance and elegance, being declared the winner of this year's edition.

Immediately after the announcement, social media was filled with comments and reactions. Some expressed pride in the victory, while others brought criticism, emphasizing the fact that Sarah is not "100% Finnish," as her father is from Kosovo.

It seems that she is very proud of her origins, since in her Instagram bio she writes: My roots are in the mountains of Kosovo.

This very detail has been a topic of discussion among the public, opening a debate on representation and diversity in the competition.

Dzafce herself has said that her mixed background is a value that has helped her connect more easily with people from different cultures.

This is not the first time that Miss Finland has had a winner of mixed origins. Lola Odusoga was crowned in 1996 with a Nigerian father, Sara Chafak in 2012 with Moroccan roots and Shirly Karvinen in 2016 with a Chinese mother. Sarah Dzafce's triumph thus brings another example of multiethnic representation in the competition.
