Cristiano Ronaldo has consistently broken records on and off the pitch in a stunning career for club and country. A week after scoring his 900th career goal, the Portuguese star reached a milestone off the pitch.
He is the first person in the world to reach over one billion followers across all social media platforms.
CR7 has 638 million followers on Instagram, 60.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 113 million followers on X, 170 million followers on Facebook, 9.4 million on Kuaishou and 7.5 million on Weibo, the latter two being Chinese platforms.
Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram and recently launched his YouTube channel 'UR.Cristiano'.
He has reached 50 million subscribers in less than a week, and it only took him 90 minutes to break the record of one million subscribers.
The striker, who now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, wrote on X: “We made history, 1 billion followers! This is more than a number – it's a testament to our shared passion, drive and love for the game and beyond.
From the streets of Madeira to the biggest arenas in the world, I have always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.
