One of Niagara's most famous landmarks, the Grand Niagara Hotel, has been abandoned for half a century. This once luxurious hotel played host to stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and President John F. Kennedy, but has been left to fall into disrepair.

The ballroom, where magnificent evenings were organized, has been transformed into a deserted space, but the crystal chandelier still hovers. The rooms are completely emptied, while the walls and floors are covered with dust and falling paint.

Photographer Matthew Christopher, known for documenting abandoned buildings, visited the hotel and described it as a "wonderful" building, although most of the upper floors were completely destroyed. Built in 1924 by businessman Frank A. Dudley, the 12-story hotel was a landmark for luxury architecture of the time. However, economic crises and the decline of interest in the area took their toll.

Recently, some rare footage of the motorcade of the late US President John F Kennedy, wounded after his assassination, has been published for the first time, speeding along the highway in the direction of the hospital in Dallas. The images have been discovered by experts and will soon be auctioned.

RR Auction will exhibit the 10-second 8-millimeter film strip more than 60 years after the assassination on Nov. 22, 1963. It was Dale Carpenter Sr., a Texas businessman who appeared on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas that day, hoping to filmed John F. Kennedy as his motorcade passed.
