A new Channel 4 documentary, Hitler's DNA: Blueprint of a Dictator, has revealed that Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler may have suffered from Kallmann syndrome, a genetic disorder that prevents normal puberty and can lead to sexual problems.
According to renowned genetics professor Turi King, who also identified the remains of King Richard III, DNA analysis shows that there was a one in ten chance that Hitler had a micro-penis and possibly an undescended testicle, as mentioned in the mocking wartime song "Hitler Has Only Got One Ball."
The DNA sample was taken from a piece of blood-stained cloth, cut from the sofa where Hitler killed himself in 1945.
Historian Alex J. Kay of the University of Potsdam suggests that his physical and psychological problems may have contributed to his lack of intimate relationships and his extreme obsession with politics.
The study also reveals that Hitler may have had neurodivergent tendencies or mental disorders, such as autism or bipolarity, but without definitive proof.
Professor Simon Baron-Cohen warned that these findings should not be used to stigmatise people with similar disorders, stressing that "behaviour is never 100% genetic".
