Villa Matilda, the residence of Chiara Ferragni and Fedez, in Pognana Lario, a small town in the province of Como, remains on the market, still unsold.
Purchased by the rapper and influencer in December 2023 for a sum of 5 million euros, the villa would now be sold at a price of around 10 million euros, although in reality the negotiations remain confidential.
Villa Matilda takes its name from Chiara Ferragni's dog, who died in 2023. The couple chose to name the property after her as a tribute of love.
Chiara and Fedez had bought the villa with the intention of using it as a weekend retreat and family holiday, given its proximity to Milan. However, after their separation, the property was quickly put up for sale, possibly to end any remaining economic ties between the two.
There are several factors that contribute to the complication of selling a villa. In addition to the logistical issue, it is also the selling price (about twice the purchase cost) that presents an obstacle. The renovation carried out before the sale may not have met the expectations of potential new buyers.
Villa Matilda is located in Pognana Lario, a charming place although less touristy than other areas of the lake, an ideal place for those looking for tranquility away from the limelight. However, the need to reach the villa only by boat and the renovation work carried out by the previous owners may discourage potential buyers.
In fact, despite the couple's fame, the property has yet to find a new owner.
