Faked his death to reunite relatives, TikToker goes to 'funeral' by

People use different ways to send an important message to family members or even friends. A 45-year-old man has found a slightly painful way, but one that ended with a happy ending.

TikToker David Baerten, to teach his family the important lesson not to lose contact, decided to stage his death. The Belgian man then appeared at his 'funeral', when he descended from the sky in a helicopter.

The 45-year-old did not act alone. His wife and children also helped him with the well-thought-out plan. One of his daughters helped him fool his followers, in what many on the internet described as a "cruel prank". He wrote on social networks:

"Rest in peace dad! I will never stop thinking about you. Why is life so unfair? Why you? You were going to be a grandfather and you still had your whole life ahead of you. I love you! We love you! We will never forget you."

And they didn't leave it at that. Last weekend, they organized the funeral ceremony near Liege, and to the surprise of everyone who was mourning the loss, "the dead man rose". Baerten made a grand entrance by helicopter, accompanied by a crew filming the "miracle".

The painful joke of the TikToker who counts 162 thousand followers was followed by serious reactions. Baerten was forced to explain the actions and revealed that he did this to see how the other family members, with whom he was no longer in close contact for a long time, would react.
