The hat worn by Michael Jackson when he first performed his famous "Moonwalk" dance move will go up for auction on September 26 in Paris, auctioneers announced.
It is expected to sell for between 60,000 and 100,000 euros and will be the attraction at the memorabilia auction at Hotel Drouot, the main auction house in Paris. The auction is organized by the companies "Artpèges" and "Lemon Auction", which caused a stir last year with Noel Gallagher's guitar, which was sold for 385,500 euros.
The sale catalog will be online on July 4 at lemonauction.fr. The auction will also include a T-Bon Walker guitar produced in just 22 copies in 1949. The instrument will be estimated between €100,000 and €150,000.
