The relationship between Mateo and Brikena has entered a phase of tension in recent days.
The debate began after a bet Brikena made with Miri and her decision to enter the pool. Mateo called the action "unrelated" and admitted that the relationship between them has changed as a result of some accumulated resentment.
Opinionist Arbër Hajdari intervened in the conversation, questioning Mateo's feelings about Brikena and criticizing him for his stance.
"I was the first to believe in your relationship. You can't love someone if you don't wish the same achievements that you wish for yourself. I have the impression that Brikena's behavior and attitudes have been correct. She entered for herself and has the right to play and win. Don't be ungrateful. Be respectful and listen to me to the end. I don't see Mateo having any interest in Brikena. It's unfair to want to be a favorite and not wish the same for the person you're with. I doubt you have feelings for Brikena," Hajdari said.
Mateo disputed claims that the clash was related to Miri and clarified his position in relation to Brikena.
"The situation with Miri was the last straw. I have lowered my ego to an extreme level towards Brikena. I am jealous of Brikena, I have the right to tell her 'be careful'. In principle, I value Brikena as a person," he said.
Brikena also reacted to Mateo's statements. She said she felt good about his interview, but emphasized that she did not like some of the comments and had expressed them directly to him.
"I didn't like 2-3 things and I told her. I also think that Selin is a strong citizen and I appreciate her as a girl, but why shouldn't my name be mentioned? I said: why leave room for misunderstandings?", she said.
