Tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg sees a future where we will all use AI-powered technology. Speaking with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at the SIGGRAPH conference on Monday, the Meta CEO said he foresees increased use of smart glasses in particular.
"I think what you're going to end up with is just a whole series of different possible glasses products, different price points with different levels of technology in them," Zuckerberg said.
Meta launched its smart glasses, a collaboration with eyewear brand Ray-Bans, in 2021. Earlier this year, the company announced an update to Meta AI that enabled the technology to work for users.
At SIGGRAPH, Zuckerberg said the company is working on the next generation of smart glasses, which he said are designed with "time trends" in mind.
In a recent interview, Mark Zuckerberg shared his opinions and Meta's plans for "holographic AR glasses". According to foreign media, the ultimate goal is a device that can completely replace your phone "head-up and hands-free," while providing access to all the information you need.
Zuckerberg said he envisions three basic models of smart glasses becoming standard devices for everyday use. The first is already available, audio glasses and cameras with built-in AI capabilities.
