Carmen Bryan, who became pregnant during a nine-year relationship with Jay-Z, has broken her silence after the rapper was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.
Jay-Z was hit with a civil lawsuit filed alleging that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl on September 7, 2000 after the MTV Video Music Awards with Sean Diddy Combs. But the 55-year-old has denied these accusations and insists that he is the victim of a 'blackmail persecution'.
"Daily Mail" writes that Carmen became pregnant during her relationship with Jay-Z, which lasted from 1995 to 2004, while she was also dating his arch-rival Nas, but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. which she did not tell him about.
Their relationship continued while the 52-year-old was engaged to Nas, the father of her daughter Destiny, who was born in 1994. But she ended the relationship after being 'disgusted' by Jay-Z rapping about sex in his song Supa Ugly.
After the allegations against Beyoncé's husband surfaced earlier this week, Carmen took to Instagram to post a screenshot of the lyrics from Jay-Z's verse on Kanye West's song, Monster, and highlighted the lines:
"Kill a block, I kill the streets, rape and plunder your village, women and children."
She followed up with a second pointed post, writing: “These days people don't stand up for what's right, they stand up for what they love! And that's why we call you 'the group'”.
