Journalist Zhaklina Gjolla, former resident of Big Brother Vip 2, was invited to "Live from Tirana". She talked about her summer vacation and experiences.
Where do you prefer to spend your vacations, within Albania or abroad?
I would not like to divide them like that, not only the summer ones but also the winter ones. I like it indoors and outdoors, it really depends on the moment in life, what I'm looking for and the opportunities I have, definitely. It is a set of circumstances that makes me choose.
Is it just a vacation or do you want to explore?
I would say both. I like it a lot and just lie down, take a book, go into the sea every 10 minutes, read the book, drink my afternoon coffee and why not swim again. I like the sea. On the other hand, of course when it's not beating down on my head like a gong, I like to explore. Now I was close to Cape Rodon. I took a walk to the Skanderbeg fortress and wanted to find a place to make a beach, but they hadn't cleared the trash yet. I generally pack 2 or 3 main things based on where I'm going, like hiking boots, but I prefer to be surprised.
In your opinion, what makes some vacations memorable?
I would say 'live' a place you've been to. I personally have several vacations that meet this criteria. For example, once in Italy where we had a car accident and were told not to take it anymore, but as Albanians we took it and moved around Italy. It was quite a mess but we had a lot of fun. Or another time in Iceland, we were a group of 3 and again we traveled by car, but we had to take bread with us because there was so much nature, it was really something else. Also in Athens, where we found a group of Greeks and they gave us some suggestions on where to go, which we followed and then met another group. Such events enliven the holidays.
What is the most favorite destination in Albania?
Dhermiu, I adore his sea. There can be 100 problems with price abuse, but I found a place where they don't abuse them terribly (laughs). I know where I sleep, where I eat and where I go to the beach. There is no crowding and it is very clean.
