'It would be rude' - this is part of the testimony of the fan accused of hitting Bebe Rexha in the face with a cell phone while she was performing at a concert in Manhattan.
"I was trying to see if I could hit him with the phone at the end of the show, because it would be cheesy," the accused Nicolas Malvagna said in his testimony, surprising the investigators of the case.
The 27-year-old was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and harassment. Bebe Rexha, was on stage finishing her Rooftop concert at Pier 17 when he threw the phone at her. The hard blow left the singer bleeding and with a black eye.
She was rushed off the scene and taken to the hospital, where she stitched up the torn part of her eye. Bebe later reassured fans that she was "fine", posting a photo of her face, which showed a large bruise on her eyelid and stitches on her eyebrow.
Bebe, whose real name is Bleta Rexha, was about to wrap up her 'Best F'n Night Of My Life' tour in New York when the incident happened. She is also expected to perform at The Fillmore in Philadelphia.
