Albanian model Anetta Beri, who lives and works in London, has recently gained attention on social media after a video presentation of her daily life and personal style for 'The Gloss'.
In the video, Anetta was asked: “Where are you from?” – and she replied that she is from London, without mentioning her Kosovo origins. That was enough for some followers to accuse her of “denying her origins”, opening a heated debate on social media.
But the model did not remain silent. On the contrary, she reacted forcefully, clarifying everything:
"I have never denied that I am from Kosovo. However, the question was 'Where are you from?' - translation: I was born and raised in London, I am neither from Kosovo nor Albania. I am Albanian by origin, but I am not from Kosovo. I am a very unproblematic person, don't try to get caught somewhere unless you have nowhere else to go. At least when I speak English, I have a British accent. How did you not know from the beginning that I am Albanian, without me telling you myself? I didn't want to tell you now either. Mind your own business, leave the halkun. And be careful what you say and what you post near the photos you use because it is easy to sue here, I don't expect anything. I love you."
