A foundation has been created in the name of actor Mathew Perry, who passed away a few days ago.
The foundation aims to help people who "struggle with the disease of addiction". Donations are now being accepted to help individuals with drug or alcohol addiction.
Guided by his words and experiences and fueled by a passion to make a difference in as many lives as possible, has been the message of the founders.
The organization is sponsored and maintained by the public charity the National Philanthropic Fund. Perry, who played Chandler Bing on "Friends," was open about his efforts to recover from drug and alcohol abuse.
In an interview last year, Perry said he hoped to be remembered more for his efforts to help others struggling with addiction.
On Friday, the actor Matthew Perry was given his last farewell in a private ceremony, only by his family, relatives and friends.
